It might not be obvious now but this used to be an "akiya" or abandoned house. With a lot of hard work and the support of local talented tradesmen, it has transformed into the purrr-fect place for your stay here in Tokyo.

The bathroom gained some space when the wall separating the living room was pushed out.
The toilet cubicle space has also been increased to make it easier to use.
Sliding doors were used to help movement easier compared to swinging doors. You can also see the wash area has been converted with more modern fixtures!

This bedroom used to have an opening to the adjacent middle room. It has been closed to give privacy to both rooms.
You'll notice also the open ceiling which gives a much roomier feel!

This living space was converted into the dining and kitchen area. New kitchen cabinets and an electric cooktop has been installed.
A kitchen counter also helps makes prepwork and cleaning up easier - although the microwave and electric kettle are always available for those in a hurry or need that instant ramen fix.

This middle room probably has had the most transformation as the wall adjacent the hallway was moved inward to allow a new direct passageway to the other bedroom.
The passageway and the odd window to the other bedrooms have been covered - giving privacy to all the rooms.
The ceiling has been opened up allowing the room to breathe and giving it more character I think!
